Insurance and Financial Options
Our goal at North Hills Dental is to provide the best dental care you’ve ever received.
To make quality care as affordable as possible, we are pleased to offer our own in-house Family Savings Plan. We also accept CareCredit and will gladly submit claims to any insurance as a courtesy, whether in or out of network. While we are happy to do a complimentary benefits check when you come into our office, please be advised that it is your responsibility to understand the coverage and terms of your own insurance prior to scheduling appointments.
Because we value the time of our patients and staff, we strive to maximize our scheduling availability. We reserve the right to charge a fee of $100 for No-Shows and appointments cancelled with fewer than 48 hours’ notice.
Insurance Standard
We ask you to realize we don’t work for an insurance company, but we do work 100% for our patients. Most insurance companies provide great benefits for our patients and we’re going to do everything we can to maximize your benefits. So please understand that the fees we charge and the treatment we recommend is specifically designed for your individual needs and never based on your insurance coverage.
We are contracted with the following insurance plans:
No insurance? No problem!
Our in-house payment plans enable patients to make the best decisions for their health, unencumbered by third-party restrictions. See our Family Savings Plan below!
Certainly, there are benefits to having a dentist in the family, so why not join ours? Our in-house savings plans provide discounts that can make dental care more affordable when you don’t have insurance.
CareCredit is an interest-free, third party payment method completed in minutes within our office. This is a great option for those unexpected, yet necessary costs or as an alternative to dental insurance.
FAQs
Do you take my insurance?
Yes! We work with all insurances to maximize your benefits and will gladly submit claims whether we are in or out of network. We do this as a courtesy to you, to make your care as affordable as possible. However, it is the insurance company who decides when, how much, and to whom they will pay. It is always best to contact your insurance directly prior to scheduling treatment to make sure you understand and agree with the amount of coverage your insurance will provide. Payment for treatment is ultimately patient responsibility, whether insurance is utilized or not, and we will collect payment at the time of service based on anticipated insurance estimates.
Why aren’t you “in network” with my insurance?
In many cases, insurance restrictions interfere with optimal dental care, creating an ethical conflict for the dentist, whose primary objective is disease prevention, correction, restoration, and healing. We believe that the best care is provided when patient and provider work together unencumbered by restrictions that do not take individual needs into account. For this reason, Dr. Rowley has chosen to contract with only a few insurance companies who have historically provided coverage that is mutually beneficial to all parties involved.
Will you warn me if my insurance is out of network?
Many insurance plans provide coverage regardless of network and we won’t turn anyone away based on network boundaries. When provided with accurate insurance information in a timely manner, it is our practice to run a complimentary benefits check when you come in for your appointment. We do this as a courtesy to you. However, it is primarily patient responsibility to know and understand your insurance coverage and benefits. If we are not provided with the necessary insurance information in a timely manner, it is impossible for us to anticipate your insurance coverage and provide an accurate estimate to you.
What if I can’t pay my bill?
Every effort is made to prevent this situation, but should it arise we will establish a mutually agreed upon payment plan. This may include keeping a card on file to collect monthly payments.
Can you look up my insurance benefits for me?
We are happy to do so! Please be aware that insurance is a contract between the patient / employer and the insurance company. Ultimately, it is the patient’s responsibility to understand the details of that coverage, but we are happy to help you understand the terms and navigate any unfamiliar steps.
Will you contract with more insurance plans in the future?
Your dental health is our top priority. To the extent that an insurance company aids toward that objective, we will consider it.
